Marquette, MI – March 8th, 2020 – Sunny 101.9 has been named Station of the Year for the fourth time! mediaBrew Communication’s Program Director Eric Scott stops by the 8th Day to talk about the work he and the entire staff have done for this award as well as mediaBrew’s newest station, 101.6 The Sound.

It’s been very exciting to be named Station of the Year, especially since it’s our first year being named mediaBrew Communications under new ownership. It’s always people from out of state, never ourselves or our competitors that picks Michigan’s Station of the year.
We’ve won 8 awards across our entire network, 7 of them being awarded to Sunny 101.9! Luke Ghiardi, host of The Sports Drive on our sister station Fox Sports Marquette won a merit award for his great work hosting the show. Sunny won big with the community involvement the station takes part in. We have a brand new station on our network, 106.1 The Sound! It broadcasts soft rock from the 70s and 80s, including songs that might not have been on the charts and you certainly wouldn’t normally hear today. You can tune in on your radio or stream it at 1061thesound.com.
