Marquette, MI – February 23, 2020 – Cindy Bertucci called in on the 8th Day to talk about upcoming NAMI Support Group Meetings in February and March. NAMIam is the local NAMI affiliate serving Alger and Marquette Counties in the Upper Peninsula.
The support groups are open to anyone with a mental disease, or any friend or family member that would like to learn more about their loved one’s mental illness. There’s no need to call to reserve a seat in the meeting, you can just walk in and join.
The next upcoming Support Group meeting is Monday, February 24th, at 7 pm. NAMI also holds Family-to-Family meetings every Tuesday. It’s a 12 week class just for family or friends of someone who has a mental illness to talk about medication and diagnosis, etc. You do need to call to join the Family-to-Family class, and the last chance to do so is February 25th.
Call 906-360-7107 to join the Family-to-Family class and get more information on either of the meetings. All the meetings are held at the Baraga Place Conference Room, 129 West Baraga Avenue, Marquette.
