Escanaba, Michigan – “UPtoberfest is the U.P.’s largest wine and beer festival, held on the beautiful lakefront in downtown Escanaba, MI.” The October 13th event from 2-7PM is is organized this by Escanaba’s homebrew club, the Bay de Noc Brewers. This year UPtoberfest all local. “All beer and wine will be from Michigan, with the majority of it being from the U.P. and northern Lower Peninsula.” Proceeds from UPtoberfest benefit The United Way of Delta County.
The last few years $10,000 has been donated to United Way of Delta County, with additional funds spread to other local charities. The Bay de Noc Brewers took over organizing the event from the United Way of Delta County.
The new location for the festival is the soccer area in Ludington Park in Escanaba. Not only are all beers and wines local, but tickets include food. This year Lambs are the roasted food this year.
