
Marquette, Michigan – Tayler Tankersley, Marketing Coordinator Great Lakes Recovery Centers, joined Todd Pazz on the 8th Day Radio show to talk about their 11th Annual The Run for Recovery. This event is an awareness and fundraising event scheduled for Wednesday, July 25th at 6:00 PM. There will be a 5K walk, a 5K run, and a 10K run with registration starting at 5:00 PM. All races start and finish at GLRC’s Adult Residential Services facility located at 241 Wright Street in Marquette.

There will be light refreshments and door prizes at the event. All proceeds will benefit the new John Kivela Legacy Fund created within the Great Lakes Recovery Centers (GLRC) Foundation. With input from the Kivela family, the funds will be spent directly on substance abuse and mental health services in the U.P.

GLRC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a variety of behavioral health services across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, including mental health and substance abuse counseling for youth, adults, and families. We also offer Offender Success Programming, Neuro-Developmental Trauma Assessments, prevention services, peer recovery coaching, and more. We have Outpatient Services in 10 different communities, as well as three adult residential treatment centers, a transitional home for women, and the only adolescent residential center north of Clare, MI.
