Marquette, Michigan November 9, 2016 – What better time to go to a museum than after dark? The Marquette Regional History Center is hosting their 5th annual “Museum After Dark Event” and Betsy Roots from the MRHC stopped by the 8th Day to talk about it.

The “Museum After Dark” series is in event hosted by the MRHC yearly and was inspired by the movie “Night at the Museum.” This years theme was “Animals Among Us” which focuses on animals.  The event has a special guest as the Chocolay Raptor Center will be bringing in live birds, most notably a falcon and a red-tail hawk!

The night will be full of fun activities such as story telling, games, and a scavenger hunt.  The scavanger hunt will feature live characters you will need to get clues from.  Don’t forget to stop by the photo room and get your pictures in a camp scenario that you can cherish forever.

“Museum After Dark” takes place Saturday, November 12, from 7-10pm at the MHRC. The event is fun for both adults and kids.  Admission is $9 for kids, $7 for adults on their own, or $5 for adults accompanying a kid. One adult is asked for every two kids. Come see the museum come to life! Check out the full interview with Betsy Roots below.
