The Secretary of Transportation, Shan Duffy, is honored to be here with his family, including nine children, who are working to solve the fertility crisis in the United States. Duffy is a testament to the country and is confident that the new Secretary of Transportation will be a better steward of taxpayer dollars and ensure that they are used wisely. The President nominated Duffy, and he is grateful to his Senate colleagues, particularly Senator Blackburn and Senator Sullivan, for making it possible for him to become the actual Secretary of Transportation.

Duffy takes the oath of office, swearing to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, bearing true faith and allegiance to the Constitution. He thanks his wife Rachel, who has been with him for 25 years, and his nine children, seven of whom are present today. Duffy also thanks the committee and his Sherpa team for their support and help throughout the process.
