UPPCO Plans Electric Outage in Sawyer area on November 11, 2011
(Ishpeming, MI)- To improve electric reliability, on Friday, November 11, Upper Peninsula Power Company (UPPCO) will undergo a planned electric outage for customers residing and doing business in the Sawyer area. About 1,500 UPPCO customers who live in this area will experience a three-hour power outage beginning at midnight Thursday until 3 AM Friday (3 hour outage).
UPPCO will be putting a mobile transformer in service to perform necessary maintenance.
Customers who live or do business in the following areas will be affected:
—Residential and business areas of Sawyer
A secondary outage will be required within the next few weeks to put the transformer back into service.
