Harvey, Michigan 02/21/15 – The MARESA Ride-in Fundraiser was held today at the Dry Dock Bar & Grill. Mike Plourde was there to bring you all the excitement on Sunny.FM. MARESA (Marquette-Alger Regional Education Service Agency) assist young adults with special needs in their changing roles from a students to contributing community citizens. Proceeds from the event fund supplies and activities these students wouldn’t otherwise we able to enjoy. The MARESA Ride-in Fundraiser is sponsored by the Dry Dock Bar & Grill, Midway Rentals, Gentz’s Homestead Golf Course, and Commercial Specialty Contractors.
Participation in this non-alcohol ride was free and open to everyone who wanted to ride. The ride was a 90 mile loop with the first groups leaving at 9:00am. The trip brought riders through Gwinn and Chatham and ended at the Dry Dock Bar & Grill, where it all began.
The MARESA Fundraiser was complete with a silent auction with bids starting at $10 to $100, raffle tickets available for purchase for many wonderful prizes, and 50/50 drawings.
Below are pictures of prizes that were available to win that included, sports mirrors, baskets full of various items, a laptop computer, jewelry, oil changes, homemade items, and much more. A good time was had by all and all money raised went to a great cause.
