A classic sight in good ‘ole Negaunee, MI.  The Miners will play their first HOME game in two weeks!

NEGAUNEE, MI – 8/29/2014 – It’s finally here.  Football season.  It’s what many people spend the other eight months of the year waiting for, and go nuts for during the four months it’s happening.  Coming off of a 10-2 season and a traditional playoff entrance, the 2014 Negaunee Miners are geared and ready to go!

The Negaunee Miners J.V. team already took a bite out of Manistique earlier this week with an impressive 54-8 victory in Negaunee.  Quarterback Brock Aho ran for three touchdowns in the ball game and added another through the air.  Defensive back Erick Voskhul intercepted the Manistique offense twice during the game as Negaunee jumped out to a great start during the 2014 JV campaign.  Head coach Kyle Bell seemed really excited with the direction the team was heading.

Be sure to tune in tonight as the Negaunee Miners head south to Manistique to kick off the regular season and the MPC schedule!

Leading the way into battle tonight will be senior quarterback Ryan Syrjala, who will be starting for the second consecutive year.  Adding to the senior leadership will be linemen Luke Jacobson, Hunter Ridley, and Cole Francis.  This is shaping up to be a fantastic year in Negaunee Sports, so be there for all of the action.

Pre-game begins at 6:45, with a 7pm kickoff on 101.9  SunnyFM and streaming LIVE on our website Sunny.FM!  GO MINERS
