02/05/14 Negaunee, Michigan– Carl Leander Johnson the voice of the Negaunee Miners and his partner Jesse Anderson were at home in Negaunee, Michigan to bring you an awesome game as the Negaunee Miners Boys Basketball team faced off against the Westwood Patriots on Sunny.FM.
The Negaunee Miners won the tip off but lost the ball to the Westwood Patriots who took an early 3-0 lead. The Miners were quick to answer the Westwood Patriots with an Eric Lori 3 pointer to tie the score at 3 in the first seconds of the first quarter. Negaunee took their first lead with 6 minutes left in the quarter to lead 9-8 against the Westwood Patriots. With two minutes left in the quarter the Miners took their biggest lead of the game against the Patriots 23-16. Thanks to an impressive quarter by Zane Radloff (11 points!) Negaunee led the Westwood Patriots by 12 points 29-17 on Sunny.FM.
The Patriots were the first to score in the second quarter closing the gap on the Miners 29-19. Negaunee
pulled away with some great shooting led Westwood 35-19 with 6 minutes left in the first half. The Negaunee Miners Boys Basketball team led by 17 points against the Westwood Patriots 45-28 with 2 minutes left in the quarter. Negaunee would end the first half of the game with an impressive lead over the Westwood Patriots 49-30 in Negaunee, Michigan.
The Westwood Patriots would be first to score in the third quarter to trail the Negaunee Miners 49-32. Halfway through the third quarter and the Miners would lead the Patriots 53-37 thanks to some terrific plays by Tyler Jandron and Jay Lori. As the third quarter wrapped up, the Negaunee Miners maintained a huge lead against the Westwood Patriots 61-44 on Sunny.FM.
As was the case with the first three quarters, the Patriots would score first in the fourth as they tried to close in on the Negaunee Miners who led 61-47. Negaunee continued to play an impressive game against the Westwood Patriots and led 68-51 halfway through the quarter. The Negaunee Miners Boys Basketball team finished this game with the win 76-57 against the Westwood Patriots.
