The Negaunee Miners played a great game to start the first quarter against the Gwinn Modeltowners and led 10-7 three minutes into the game. The Negaunee Miners played an awesome first quarter and led the Gwinn Modeltowners 15-11 at the end of the first on Sunny.FM.
The Negaunee Miners Boys Basketball are the first to put points on the board in the second quarter of play against the Gwinn Modeltowners with 5 minutes left in the quarter Negaunee led 17-11. The Gwinn Modeltowners narrowed the Negaunee Miners lead halfway through the quarter 17-14. Negaunee with a myriad of baskets and ended the first half of the game maintaining the lead by 13 points 30-17 in Negaunee, Michigan.
The Modeltowners started the scoring in the second half & third quarter to narrow the Negaunee Miners lead to 30-19. Gwinn put up a great offensive stretch during the game and gained on the Miners lead 35-29 with 5 minutes left in the quarter on Sunny.FM. Halfway through the quarter and Negaunee ran away with the ball to push the lead to 18 points against the Gwinn 50-32 on Sunny.FM.
Gwinn wasn’t going down without a fight, however, as they scored the first four points of the fourth quarter cutting the Miners’ lead down to 14. The Miners played great defense and maintained 53-36 against the Gwinn Modeltowners with 5 minutes left in the quarter. After making two free throws, Tyler Jandron gave the Negaunee Miners a 21 point lead against the Gwinn Modeltowners 60-39 with 3 minutes left in the game. Jandron finished with a game & season-high 28 points! Eric Lori also chipped in 17 points of his own as the Negaunee Miners won this game against the Gwinn Modeltowners by 20 points 64-44 in Negaunee, Michigan on Sunny.FM.
