Christmas Eve At LSCC At The Cross Roads016
a beautiful blue backdrop at LSCC Marquette

Marquette  –  12/24/2013  –   It was a spectacular evening of music, caroling, and the reading of Scrooge and the Christmas story.  Several hundred people from around Negaunee, Ishpeming, Gwinn, Harvey and Marquette enjoyed a fantastic heart warming evening where people lingered and didn’t want to leave after the 90minute presentation finished.

The evening began with a LIVE full production 11 piece band creating beautiful sounding music.

It then transitioned into an old time reading of the Scrooge story with live sound effects  The message of Scrooge and his transformation came through loud and clear as the team of ten made this story come alive with live sound effect, music and drama.  The story unfolded flawlessly while a 10year old boy from Harvey who made wonderful LIVE sound effects bringing the story alive.  Sitting there listening to Radio-skit Scrooge and Live sfx seemed just like families would have experienced as they sat around the radio 80 years ago in the 1930’s when they did live team productions for Radio.

An LSCC member read a moving reading of the Christmas story describing the real reason for the season.  This dramatic reading with music was the perfect followup to Scrooge as he chronicled the history of the birth-life-death-resurrection of Jesus Christ, stating he is the real reason for the season.

Music Pastor Josh Dickey had a team of 14 present the music, and media Pastor Dave Celeskey had a team of 10 read and create drama.  They have to be proud and satisfied on this intense package as a tribute to Christ’s birth and life.

Sunny 101.9fm broadcast the presentation and streamed in on Sunny.FM.  Thanks LSCC for a perfect Christmas Eve.

Members of the band included Jacy Gillum on accoustic and electric guitar, Mark Farina on Bass guitar, Blake Dickey on Djemb and Drums, Todd Noordyk on the keys, Gary Hopson on trumpet, Jennifer Dickey singing the alto parts, Alicia Morey singing soprano, Tenor parts were sung by Sara Perfetti, and leads were sung by worship leader Josh Dickey
