12/19/13 Negaunee, Michigan– Carl Johnson the voice of the Negaunee Miners and Jesse Anderson were at home tonight with the Negaunee Miners Boys Basketball team who took on the Marquette Redmen on Sunny.FM.
To start the beginning of the first quarter the Marquette Redmen lead the game against the Negaunee Miners 4-2. The Negaunee Miners did not take long to tie the score 4-4. The Negaunee Miners rally together and end the first quarter with the lead against the Marquette Redmen 14-10 on Sunny.FM.
The Negaunee Miners Boys Basketball vs the Marquette Redmen brought exciting second quarter action. The Marquette Redmen gained the lead early in the second with a score of 18-16. The Negaunee Miners struggle to get a basket late in the second quarter and trail the Marquette Redmen 21-16. The second quarter ends in Negaunee, Michigan with a score of 23-17 in favor of the Marquette Redmen.
The Negaunee Miners Boys tighten the Marquette Redmen lead 26-21 midway through the third quarter. Closing the quarter the Negaunee Miners Boys Basketball team hold strong and maintain a close game against the Marquette Redmen. The Negaunee Miners start to trail the Marquette Redmen by a bigger score at the end of the third.
The Negaunee Miners struggle and continue to trail the Marquette Redmen early in the fourth quarter with a score of 38-31. The Marquette Redmen maintain their lead halfway through the game with a score of 40-33. The Negaunee Miners Boys were defeated by the Marquette Redmen tonight. The score to end the game was 51-40.
