Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A very popular tradition in western Marquette County continues this weekend with the annual St. Rocco–St. Anthony Society Italian Fest.
This community event celebrating Italian food and culture runs from 12 noon to 7 pm Saturday at the Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming.
One of the event’s organizers, Jim Manty, joined the Sunny Morning Show today to preview this free, family-friendly and fun-filled celebration of all things Italian.
Manty gave the event schedule and also talked about all of the food that will available, the musical entertainment for the day and all of the kids activities.
He added that the 4th of July Ishpeming fireworks, that were cancelled earlier this month due to rain, are being fired off this year as well to enjoy at dusk.
