Negaunee, Michigan – November 26, 2018 – On Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving last week), my 7-year-old son, Holden, came home with a note in his backpack.
It was a handwritten note saying what he is thankful for.
It’s addressed to my father.
It is so precious.
It reads, “Papa, You take me fishing. Maybe we can go again. I like the tackle box and lures. I’m thankful for you. I love you, Papa.”
Cue the waterworks! How cute is that?!
It’s so adorable what kids think and write and say.
They are so brutally honest at times, too.
This solidifies what I already knew – that my son has a special bond with my father.
It warms my heart!
