
Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Northern Michigan University Presidential Scholars Competition is underway, and today on Wildcat Wednesday, we heard more details about the program.
Kari Garcia, Associate Director of Admissions at NMU, joined the Sunny Morning Show to share more information about the competition.
Garcia said it is designed for academically talented high school seniors to compete for ten “full-ride” and ten full-tuition scholarships to attend Northern.
She added that there are approximately 200 smaller scholarships, which can be added to scholarships awarded at the time of admission, that will be awarded to participants.
Garcia said the scholarship competition is for high school seniors graduating in 2019 who will be new first-year students at NMU in fall 2019.
