Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University is gearing up for the Fall 2018 sports season and we heard from Director of Athletics Forest Karr with the latest information.
Karr joined the Sunny Morning Show for Wildcat Wednesday today and started off by recapping some of the big successes of NMU Athletics from last year, and then previewed the upcoming semester.
Karr talked about a series of events around campus and at the University’s athletic facilities for people to come and learn more about the teams and the individual student-athletes.
He also talked about this fall’s NMU Homecoming Week and some changes to the usual schedule, including the parade being held on Saturday afternoon this year, instead of Friday evening.
Karr said the parade will be on Saturday, September 22nd at 2:00pm and culminates at the Superior Dome for tailgating before the NMU Homecoming football game vs. Ferris State, slated for 4:00pm.
