Marquette, MI – November 11, 2016 – With tomorrow being the largest election day this year, Todd Paz brought 2016 Republican Candidate for Congress, Jack Bergman on-air to talk about his plans for a term in Congress. Bergman started the interview with some background about himself and the reasons he chose to run for Congress. Bergman stated “I’m looking at the world through the eyes of a grandfather. I’m looking at the world through the eyes of a Marine. I’m looking at the world through the eyes of a small business owner.” Jack Bergman believes with his well rounded experiences in life that he will be a good choice for Congress.
With 40 years of medical equipment experience and knowledge of the health system, one of Jack Bergman’s top priorities is to find a solution that can replace Medicare. Bergman believes that once in Congress he can work with everyone to create a new option for health care that will allow “The provider to provide the care, the insurance companies to provide insurance at a reasonable prices and so the person receiving the care doesn’t have to jump through all sorts of hoops.” Jack also pointed out “While I may be new to Congress, I am not new to the challenges of health care being provided.”Another area Jack Bergman hopes to change is the economy. This candidate believes that the a good economy will create jobs. From jobs comes stability and from there works can find confidence and the economy will continuously grow.
This Republican candidate for the 1st Congressional District of Michigan hopes to also put a lot of effort into is working with the Veterans Committee. The “Veterans Choice Program” is something Bergman has his sights on to revise and improve. This program, which is supposed to allow veterans to receive medial treatment at any location of their choosing without footing the bill, was created with great intentions. On paper the program is a great concept, however, Bergman noted that the program has not be executed correctly. There are many reports of veterans getting medial care only to have the provider never be paid, and the veteran ends up with the bill in hand. Having 40 years of military experience, working with and for veterans is something Bergman looks forward to doing, if elected.
Republican Candidate Jack Bergman made it clear that he understands one person can not change everything and pointed on that he intends to work with the other members of Congress to work on and resolve problems. With much experience in a leadership role, Bergman expects to take point as a leader in Congress to help accomplish hes goals in serving his country one more time.
