Marquette, MI – July 23rd, 2016 – It may be the end of July, but winter is never far off in the Upper Peninsula! The Upper Peninsula Luge Club is holding multiple wheeled-sled clinics for kids in the end of July and August. Todd Paz welcomed club president Fred Anderson to the show to talk about these events.
The four upcoming wheeled-luge clinics, two in late July and two in mid to late August, are being held to help introduce the sport of luge to young children in the area. The Upper Peninsula Luge Club will have certified instructors and safety equipment on hand for those interested in trying things out.
“The summer wheeled clinics are a fun way to experience luge and find out about the sport,” said Fred Anderson. The club even has their own luge ramp and sleds, so all you have to do is bring your enthusiasm and kids!
Release forms will be available for parents to sign for each youth to participate. The four clinics will be held at the following locations:
July 29, 10-am – 4 pm, Marquette Blueberry Fest
July 30, 10 am – 4 pm, Baraga State Park
August 20, 10 am – 4 pm, Michigammi State Park
August 27, 11 am – 5 pm, Marquette Harbor Fest
