Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette City Band, will present a concert called “Something New – Something Blue” tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. at Kaufman Auditorium in Marquette.

City Band Director Dr. Stephen Grugan joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about this historic show.

Grugan said the reason this concert is significant, is that it is the first time in the lengthy history of the Marquette City Band that it will be performing at Kaufman Auditorium.

He said the concert will feature Marquette’s own Eric Banitt performing “Rhapsody in Blue” on piano and Kirsten Gustafson singing “Blue Moon” and other jazz and show songs.

Grugan added that the Marquette City Band will also be performing “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and much more music for all to enjoy.
