MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Police responded to a two-vehicle accident this morning on US-41 in South Marquette.
The accident happened around 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of US-41 and Tonti Road. Police say a southbound vehicle on US-41, driven by a 32-year-old Skandia man, hit a vehicle that was attempting to turn left onto US-41 from Tonti Road. The driver of that vehicle, a 25-year-old Marquette woman, and her 3-year-old passenger sustained some minor injuries.
The accident reduced the lanes of traffic to one lane per direction for about half an hour.
No names have been released by police at this time and the accident remains under investigation.
