Marquette, MI – May 11, 2026 – A series of Veteran’s Town Hall meetings are being held later this week in Marquette and Alger counties.
The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center is hosting the meetings to give Veterans a chance to meet with local VA leadership, ask questions, and learn about changes in VHA benefits and healthcare.
Ellison said this Wednesday, a session will be at 10:00am at the Vietnam Veterans of America Post in Christmas. That will be followed by a meeting at 2:30pm at the Thunder Bay Inn in Big Bay and one at 5:00pm at the American Legion Post 44 in Marquette.
He added that on Thursday, meetings will be at 10:00am at the American Legion Post 114 in Ishpeming and at 2:00pm at the VFW Post 5670, 54 N. Mitchell Street, Gwinn.
Veterans, their families, and members of the public are invited to attend.
