Marquette, MI – April 30, 2025 – The Marquette County Planning Division is hosting a series of Map the Future events to gather community input to update of the Marquette County 2040 Master Plan.
Grace Freed, MI Healthy Climate Fellow, spoke about the effort with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Freed explained that there will be four regional meeting beginning next week and continuing through the month. They are:
● Moose Hills: Monday, May 4 @ 6 PM | Jerzi’s 41, 9965 US-41, Champion, MI 49814
● Borealis Beach: Thursday, May 7 @ 6 PM | Barrel + Beam, 260 Northwoods Rd, Marquette, MI 49855
● Blueberry Farms: Thursday, May 14 @ 6 PM | UP North Lodge, 215 S Co Rd 557, Gwinn, MI 49841
● Iron Core: Thursday, May 21 @ 6 PM | The Mather, 107 E Canda St, Ishpeming, MI 49849
Freed added that all events run from about 6:00–7:30 PM and are drop-in friendly. A presentation by county planners will take place shortly after 6:00pm and to learn more, visit mqtcoplan.org.
Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting in their region.
