Marquette, MI – March 30, 2026 – A special event to raise awareness about the work of Room at the Inn is coming up this weekend.
Wallen explained that the evening will feature a panel discussion about homelessness in our area and what Room at the Inn does to address the issue.
He said it is at the Ore Dock Brewing Company in Marquette on Saturday, April 4, and begins at 6:30pm with the discussion followed by music from the Make-Believe Spurs and the indie-rock group Willowby from the Houghton area.
He added that the idea for the event came from NMU students approached Room at the Inn to create an awareness event for an end-of-semester project. Wallen says he and his band joined in to help to spread awareness about the plight of the homeless in Marquette County and beyond.
