
Marquette, MI – March 11, 2026 – Winter weather has made a comeback this morning. The National Weather Service in Negaunee Township says a Winter Storm Warning is posted for much of the U.P., including Marquette County, until later this afternoon. Conditions are expected to deteriorate through the morning hours with heavy snow at times.
Anywhere from 4 to 6 inches is possible south of a line from Gwinn to Michigamme, and higher amounts of 6 to 10 inches to the north. Officials say travel could be very difficult at times today, and the heaviest snowfall will be over the higher elevations of Marquette County.
