Marquette, MI – February 13, 2026 – The Kognisjon Bryggeri in Marquette has teamed up with UPAWS for a special beer to benefit the shelter.
This year’s “Name a Beer After Your Pet” contest winner is Hazel, the official mascot of the Frost Coast Plunge Posse. That’s a group of cold water plungers who jump into Lake Superior nearly every day of the year.
Talo said the special launch of the beer called “Hazel’s Love Potion”, a chocolate stout, is tomorrow night at the Kognisjon on 3rd Street in Marquette. It runs from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and will feature the beer, live music by The Daydreamers, complimentary chocolate desserts and more.
