Marquette, MI September 16, 2025 – The Marquette Area Public Schools Board of Education is looking for public input on possible school facility updates.

A recent state study of the MAPS district identified over $100 million of critical infrastructure and building system needs, and the District says those findings were echoed in their own facilities study.

As a result, district officials are asking for public feedback to form a plan to address those needs. To get that feedback, a survey is being delivered to residents in the Marquette School district this month.

District Superintendednt Zack Sedgwick spoke about the survey and the effort with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Sedgwick said district officials are hosting two Community Information Sessions on Monday, September 22nd and Tuesday, September 23rd in the Little Theatre in the Marquette Senior High School.  Both sessions will be held at 5:30pm.

He added that more information is also at the the district’s website at mapsnet.org
