City Of Marquette Cultural Trail Being Dedicated Wednesday

Marquette, MIJune 24, 2025 – The City of Marquette is hosting a public ribbon cutting ceremony for the Marquette Cultural Trail this Wednesday.

Tiina Morin, City of Marquette Arts and Culture Manager, spoke about the ceremony and the trail with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Morin said the ribbon cutting is from 11:00–11:30am at the Whetstone Brook story marker location and will mark the official launch of a project that honors Marquette’s cultural heritage, natural beauty, and community spirit.

She added that following the ceremony, a community gathering will be held from 11:30am to 1:00pm at Provisions Marquette, 401 S Lakeshore Blvd., and from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, she will be leading a guided tour of the Cultural Trailhead Project, featuring stops at the Seven Grandfather Teachings Monument and the Father Marquette statue.
