Michigan State Police Say Buckle Up For Safety!

Marquette, MI – May 23, 2025 – Michigan State Police are cracking down on seat belt enforcement this Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Lt. Ben Eckola, MSP Public Information Officer, spoke about the campaign and more with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Eckola said the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning’s latest “Click It or Ticket” campaign runs through June 1st.  He added that State Police Troopers are joined by officers from both city and county police departments in enforcing the crackdown.

Eckola also shared some tips for staying safe on the roadways this Memorial Day Holiday weekend.
