NMU Giving Day Offers A Chance To Support University Students And Programs

Marquette, MIApril 16, 2025Northern Michigan University Giving Day is tomorrow and it’s the chance for the community to support the departments, teams, and programs that make NMU special.

Andy Hill, Director of Annual Giving at NMU, talked about the day with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Hill said this year’s theme is “Give to What You Love” and celebrates the personal connections and deep pride that make NMU a strong and vibrant university.  He explained how gifts on NMU Giving Day directly impact student experiences through internships, conference travel, research, pitch competitions and more.

Hill also talked about the 29th Annual Celebration of Student Scholarship happening tomorrow that is a public showcase in Jamrich Hall that highlights the research, creativity, and academic excellence of NMU’s undergraduate and graduate students across all disciplines.

He also mentioned another special event happening with NMU Volleyball through the day at the recently renovated Vandament Arena on campus.
