Marquette, MI – March 28, 2025 – With a possibly volatile weather weekend upon us, the Upper Peninsula Power Company says there are some good tips to keep in mind to be ready for any spring storm-related power outages.
Freeborn said UPPCO is working to get the word out about spring storm safety and preparation with information about what to do before, during and after a storm.
He outlined tips covering generator safety and being ready for those with electrically powered medical equipment as well as making sure you are set with any refrigerators or freezers that are in use.
Freborn also talked about downed power line and tree-on-a-line safety and how to report an UPPCO outage, and encouraged customers to go to uppco.com/safety for more information.
