Marquette, MI – October 2, 2024 – Preparations are underway for the 31st Annual Fire Prevention Week Kickoff and Static Display on Saturday in Marquette.
Marquette Fire Department Captain Ben Wilder spoke about the event with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Wilder explained that it starts at 11:00am on Bluff Street directly behind Harlow Park. There will be fire trucks and rescue vehicles on display from departments from around Marquette County.
He added that Sparky the Fire Dog will also be there and there will be some giveaways for kids, and it all wraps up with a fire truck parade that heads out of town at 12:30 that afternoon.
