Bob Dobson UP History Parts 1 & 2 – Rebroadcast
Bob Dobson is author twelve Local History Books of Marquette and Baraga Counties in Michigan, including the cities of Ishpeming, Negaunee, Champion, Republic, Gwinn, Marquette and Michigamme, gleaned from the published Ishpeming IRON ORE weekly newspaper up to 1954, and the Negaunee weekly IRON HERALD newspaper up to 1968. Both newspapers began publishing in the 1870’s.

Bob Dobson has been an elementary and secondary public school teacher and taught courses at the EWTN at Marinette, WI, and for Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI. His bachelors and Masters are from NMU, and he also holds a MDIV degree, and he is an ordained United Methodist Pastor.
Discussions covered in broadcast is an account of people, events, sports, tragic mine news, new inventions, and a history of roads and railroads, great depression and the consequences, World War II, the 1950’s and 1960’s, including the Negaunee Centennial, History of Ishpeming, Michigan in regards to its past as an iron mining town.
