
Marquette, MI – July 19, 2024 – The Marquette Guts Frisbee Association is hosting the 2024 U.S National Guts Frisbee Tournament at Marquette’s Tourist Park on August 3rd and 4th.
Lahtinen explained that guts is a high speed game of catch between two teams of five competitors standing 15 meters apart.
Players throw a variety of fast frisbee shots at the defensive team whose goal is to catch the frisbee while only using one hand or pop off your body to keep the frisbee in the air and make a catch.
He said the action starts at 10 a.m both Saturday and Sunday with an expected 18 teams from across the Midwest battling for the Craig “Buck” Buchanan memorial trophy.
Saturday features round robin play and Sunday will be the tournament elimination round games with the Tournament Finals starting at 5pm deciding the winner.
Lahtinen closed out by saying admission to the tournament is free for spectators and carry-ons are welcome. So, bring a lawn chair and some friends to the U.S National Guts Frisbee Tournament August 3rd & 4th.
