Marquette, MI – May 23,2024 – The Marquette City Commission recently approved a draft of the city’s Community Master Plan and opened it up for a 63-day public comment period.
Stachewicz said the public comment period is a major component in finalizing the Community Master Plan for the city, as it sets priorities for the city’s development efforts in the coming years.
He said the Community Master Plan has been under development since early 2023, and the public involvement through the process has been heavy, with a wide amount of interest and input from the Marquette community and beyond.
Stachewicz said drafts of the plan are available online through the City of Marquette website, and physical copies are available at City Hall at 300 W. Baraga Avenue, the City Municipal Service Center at 1100 Wright Street, and at the Peter White Public Library at 217 N. Front Street.
The public comment period is open now through Thursday, July 18th.
