Marquette, MI – May 20, 2024 – State Senator Ed McBroom took a few moments today to talk about a recent article in Bridge Michigan about his failing to meet a deadline for online submission of his financial disclosures as required by a new law that he helped to write.
The Dickinson County Republican said that the new online portal for submission of his information was unnecessarily complicated and cumbersome.
He added that it was made so by bureaucrats taking the law and expanding it out, making everybody miserable when filling out the forms when it wasn’t supposed to be that way.
McBroom chided the program, saying he had to spell his own last name wrong just to access the system.
