Marquette, MI – May 7, 2024 – The Marquette Area Public Schools Board of Education has unanimously approved a new logo for Marquette Senior High School.
The Board voted 7-0 last night to accept the logo, which is in the colors red and black and features a stylized letter “M” incorporated into a roman-style helmet design.
Sedgwick said the logo was created by a Marquette graduate and graphic designer, Matt Sia, working with students, the school board and community suggestions.
It goes along with the recently adopted “Sentinels” nickname for the school. It will be used along with the traditional block letter “M” already in use by the school district, and apparel with the new logo is expected to be available later this month.
