Marquette, MI – April 16, 2024 – “Newsies” hits the stage this week at the W.C. Peterson Auditorium at Ishpeming High School this week.
Cast members Jaylen Willey and Lillian Tomasi spoke about the show with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Tomasi explained that the show is based on the New York City newsboy strike of 1899 and she talked about her character Medda Larkin.
Willey talked about her role as Katherine Plummer and reminded listeners that tickets are available at Congress Pizza in Ishpeming, the Ishpeming High School office, and at the Peterson auditorium door.
“Newsies” runs April 18, 19, and 20 at 7:00pm with a matinee on April 20th at 1:00pm.
