Marquette, MI – January 19, 2024 – State Senator Ed McBroom is moving ahead with a series of legislative priorities as sessions have resumed at for the year at the Capitol in Lansing.
McBroom spoke about his main efforts this week with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
The Dickinson County Republican said he will be continuing to work on bipartisan legislation calling for increased transparency in state government decision-making.
McBroom added that he is also going to be focused on issues related to Michigan’s Commercial Fishing Act, which he says is outdated and needs review and revision.
He closed out the conversation saying he was going to continue with efforts to meet with constituents and local governments to discuss and interpret the recently-passed (and somewhat controversial) renewable and clean energy legislation that was signed into law by the Governor.
