Marquette, MI – October 16, 2023 – The Marquette County Ambassadors recently completed a trip to Lansing to meet with lawmakers about issues important to Marquette County and the Upper Peninsula.
Myers explained that the group and it’s visits to Lansing are coordinated by the Lake Superior Community Partnership and usually happen twice a year.
She said the Ambassadors are a privately funded group of business, education, community, and government leaders from across Marquette County who promote and foster economic development and carry the story of the Marquette County area to others.
Myers said the group held 16 meetings with legislators and other state economic development officials during their recent two-day visit to the Capitol and talked about several of their key agenda points.
