Marquette, MI – August 28, 2023 – The Marquette City Commission has a regular meeting this evening. In the main New Business agenda action item, Commissioners will be voting on the purchase of a used fire truck from the Wisconsin Surplus Auction.
City Manager Karen Kovacs spoke about the purchase today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Kovacs says the purchase of the used truck is needed after deterioration forced the retirement of two fire trucks in the city’s fleet.
The meeting begins at 6:00pm at Commission Chambers at Marquette City Hall.
