Marquette, MI – August 18, 2023 – A Marquette woman and her snack-making business are among the top 20 finalists in a statewide competition to name Michigan’s New Favorite Snack.
Gayle Urban of Chippers 906 is competing with finalists from around the state for the title and more than $75,000 in cash prizes.
Urban spoke about her snacks and the competition with Walt Lindala on Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Urban shared some of the history of the creation of her Flavored Waffle Cone Chips, which are competing in the Sweet Sensations category.
The competition, in it’s second year, aims to provide capital to a few Michigan-based micro-businesses, and is Saturday, September 9th in Port Huron.
