
Marquette, MI – July 27, 2023 – The American Legion Post 44 in Marquette is holding a special fundraising raffle to benefit their baseball and hockey programs.
Jim Provost, from the Post, spoke about the raffle today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Provost said it’s called the Queen of Hearts Raffle and is a progressive-style raffle based on a deck of playing cards that is being held over a 20-week period.
He explained that raffle tickets are $2.00 each and will be sold weekly until 6:30pm each Tuesday with the drawing to be conducted at the Post at 7:00pm.
Any profits from this raffle will be used to fund the American Legion Bantaam AA Hockey Team and American Legion Blues, Reds, and Jr Reds programs.
Provost said raffle tickets are available at the Post Canteen at 700 West Bluff Street in Marquette, and he also has some that can be purchased from him. He can be reached by calling (906) 458-2900.
You must be over 18 to purchase a ticket and you do not need to be present to win.
