Marquette, MI – A community-based effort to raise funds to make updates to LaCombe Field in Negaunee has reached it’s goal, but people can still help out.
Heffron said that the Patronicity-based drive has hit the goal of $50,000, which will be matched with another $50,000 from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, generating $100K for the effort to install Universal Design/Access improvements at the field.
He explained that the planned upgrades will focus on a universal design approach that will allow LaCombe to be enjoyed by all patrons.
