Marquette, MI – February 21, 2023 – Mark A. Totten, United States Attorney for the Western District of Michigan, has been touring the district to open communications and build relationships with the community.
Totten spoke about the tour and more with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Totten explained that as U.S. Attorney, he serves as the chief federal law enforcement officer in the Western District of Michigan, which covers 49 counties, including all of the U.P. and the western half of the Lower Peninsula.
He added that the main office is in Grand Rapids, but also has staffed offices in Lansing and Marquette, and an unstaffed office in Kalamazoo.
Totten, who was sworn in to the post in May of 2022, shared his top priorities and visions for the office, including combating drugs, violent crime and guns.
