Marquette, MI – February 17, 2023 – Northern Michigan University’s choral ensembles are performing “Considering Matthew Shepard” next week on campus.
Colwitz explained that the featured work is an oratorio by composer Craig Hella Johnson which tells the story of Matthew Shepard’s 1998 murder that also shares a message of hope.
She added that due to the subject matter of the piece, parental discretion is advised.
The performance is on Tuesday, February 21st at 7:30pm at the Reynolds Recital Hall at Northern Michigan University.
