Marquette, MI – December 19, 2022 – The Marquette City Commission has a regular meeting coming up tonight.
The meeting is being held one week earlier than their normally-scheduled meeting date due to the Christmas holiday.
Marquette City Manager Karen Kovacs spoke about the meeting today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Kovacs said the Commission will be selecting a new Commissioner this evening from a pool of eight city residents who have applied for consideration.
She said the selected person will fill the remainder of Commissioner Jenn Hill’s term. Hill stepped down after she was elected to serve as State Representative in November.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:00pm at Commission Chambers at Marquette City Hall.
