Marquette, MI – May 25, 2022 – The U.P. Regional Blood Center is reminding people to make sure they continue to give blood during the summer months.
She explained that as summer activities mount, people don’t think about donating blood as often as they are busy with other things.
Heath added that the other issue is that as people do step up their summertime activities, more injuries can occur, increasing the need for blood around the U.P.
The Blood Center has collection sites in Marquette, Hancock and Escanaba and is the primary supplier of blood to 13 UP hospitals.
Visit their Facebook page for all center details and upcoming blood drive locations, and for hours and scheduling an appointment, you can also call the Marquette center at (906) 449-1450.
