Marquette, MI March 1, 2022 – A new fund has been established in Marquette County to assist family members and other survivors of a violent suicide with costs associated with cleaning and property damage repair resulting from the act.

Dave Aro, who recently was involved in such an incident in Marquette, is leading the efforts to build the Marquette County Emergency Cleaning Fund after he found out following the incident that those costs are the responsibility of next of kin and can run into the thousands of dollars.

Aro is coordinating the effort with Zosia Eppensteiner, CEO of Marquette County Community Foundation, and they both recently spoke about the fund with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
