Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A chorus of “Merry Christmas” and “Thank You” rang out with a group of veterans in Marquette this morning, thanks to our esteemed listeners.
Laughter and good cheer filled the halls of the Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette this morning as we delivered all of your items to the veterans at the home. Thank you to all of you who took the time to donate the wonderful items you gave!
The smiling faces, handshakes and statements of “Thanks” made it a great wrap-up to our annual effort to “Remember Our Veterans At Christmas”.
Thanks to you, the veterans were able to enjoy some great gifts this Christmas. Delivering and giving out over three tables full of items to the home was wonderful, as was watching the reactions of the veterans.
During the Holidays, we remember that need knows no season.
The Jacobetti Home for Veterans is constantly facing an uphill battle for funding for items, programs and more.
